Marywood University (Marywood.edu) is accepting nominations and applications for the position of Vice President for Business Affairs (VPBA). Reporting to the President and serving on both the President’s Cabinet and Council, the successful candidate must support the goals, values and mission of the university. This position serves as the Vice President of Business Affairs and Treasurer of the University.  The major areas of responsibility include budgeting, financial management, human resources, information/internet technology, infrastructure, non-academic administrative systems, and the planning and assessment associated with these functions.

 

Marywood University is a comprehensive Catholic university founded in 1915 and sponsored by the Congregation of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Scranton, PA. The co-educational University, with over 2,500 students, sits on a 115-acre campus in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The selected candidate must have a bachelor’s degree (CPA or other relevant advanced degree is preferred); 7+ years of experience; a skilled financial background that includes significant experience in adeptly managing a large and complex budget whose funding originates from multiple sources; professional skill and experience demonstrating in-depth knowledge of financial and business operations; and knowledge of technical accounting skills and relevant accounting literature.
