Registrar

Northwestern College seeks an experienced professional with the technical and interpersonal skills to lead its registration and records team. The registrar maintains the academic records of all students and implements academic policy; coordinates the course registration and grading process; serves on institutional committees; collaboratively develops the academic calendar; manages all aspects of the NAIA eligibility process; reviews degree audits; and manages and supervises the activities of the associate registrar and the assistant to the registrar. The registrar develops collaborative working relationships with institutional leadership, faculty, and staff, and works with other administrative offices to improve registration processes, procedures and policies. The registrar serves as liaison to computer support services to maintain and improve communication in matters relating to information processing needs.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience in higher education record-keeping. Good organizational skills and habits are essential. The ability to communicate graciously and directly with other college professionals and to empathize with students are essential in this role. Demonstrates a commitment to diversity, inclusion and equity in interactions with others; is able to assess current operations and integrate new technology into the work process.
