President

The board of trustees of the Erikson Institute, an independent graduate school in child development, invites nominations, expressions of interest, and applications for the position of president.

With an exclusive focus on educating, serving, and leading in the early childhood field, Erikson advances the ability of practitioners, researchers, and decision makers to improve life for children and their families. At Erikson, new scientific knowledge and theories of child development and learning facilitate relationship-based learning in institutions and the community among children from prenatal to eight. Erikson’s deep understanding of children and families within their cultural context, commitment to social justice, and developmentally informed education, research, and programs have relevance across a wide range of professions, organizations, and policy arenas. This enables Erikson to remain focused and highly expert in its chosen niche, while expanding its influence and impact across every area of its work.

Erikson seeks a new president with a deep commitment to early childhood development and an equitable, just world for all children, who will build upon the institute's progress over the past decade. The successful candidate will be a bold and inspiring leader who can engage a diverse community in further developing and executing a clear, contemporary, and distinctive vision for the institute that serves society and sustains Erikson on its path to a successful future.

All applications, nominations, and inquiries are invited. Applications should include, as separate documents, a CV or resume and a letter of interest addressing the themes in the profile available at wittkieffer.com.
