Vice President for Student Engagement and Success

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC) invites nominations and applications for a forward-thinking leader to serve as vice president for student engagement and success. The Division of Student Engagement and Success (SEAS) supports students in attaining their educational goals by offering services that create a supportive learning environment for personal and professional development, preparing students for responsible citizenship and lifelong learning. The division strives for excellence in serving TAMU-CC students by offering campus and community engagement, leadership development, and advancing the university's vision and practice of inclusive excellence.  

The vice president provides vision, leadership and strategic direction for a comprehensive portfolio of programs, services and strategic initiatives, including the student conduct and advocacy; counseling; disability services; university health center; engagement initiatives; recreational sports; student activities; and strategic planning and assessment. The Division of Student Engagement and Success has a budget of nearly $12.8 million and employs 84 staff, 13 graduate assistants and 250 student staff. Reporting directly to the president, the vice president serves as the senior student affairs officer for the university and as a key member of the president's cabinet, advising the president and collaborating with colleagues regarding university strategic planning, policy development, budget actions, personnel, space allocations and other administrative actions.
