Geology - Visiting Assistant Professor

The Department of Geological & Environmental Sciences seeks applicants for a full-time, Visiting Assistant Professor.  The position will be renewable for up to two years, beginning in the Fall of 2021. The applicant must be able to teach courses in either mineralogy and petrology or hydrogeology as well as introductory-level courses in geology and environmental science. The applicant will also be expected to supervise and collaborate with undergraduate students on research projects.

About the Department of Geological & Environmental Sciences:

The department offers undergraduate majors and minors in both geology and environmental science. Faculty-mentored undergraduate research and integration of fieldwork into teaching are important emphases of the department. The successful applicant will join three full-time faculty members and a part time laboratory coordinator.

Qualifications: 

The candidate must have a Ph.D. in geology or a reasonable prospect of having a Ph.D. by the Fall of 2021.
