R0001639 – Controller, Director of Financial Services

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock invites applications for Controller, Director of Financial Services (R0001639). This position oversees accounts payable, payroll, financial aid reconciliation, and the general accounting and fixed assets functions of the university. The incumbent recommends related policies and reports directly to the associate vice chancellor for finance. This position is governed by state and federal laws and institution policy.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field from an accredited college or university; a minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in accounting or financial management in progressively responsible positions; and five (5) years of progressive management and direct supervision experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Ten (10) or more years of professional accounting or financial management experience; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certificate and/or MBA; ten (10) years of management experience in a higher education environment; prior work experience in public higher education; familiarity with the State of Arkansas or public higher education fiscal and accounting processes and procedures; and breadth of experience with client-server-based financial information systems, preferably Ellucian Banner and/or Workday.
