The Department of Medical Education at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine invites applicants for a Director of Pathology Education at the Assistant/Associate/full Professor level. We seek an outstanding educator with a strong record of academic accomplishments broadly in pathology. 

Required:

1. MD or DO degree;
2. At least one year in a clinical practice;
3. Completion of an accredited Pathology Residency;
4. Pathology board certification exam;
5. Ohio Medical License or ability to obtain it.

Assistant Professor: All of the above requirements.

Associate Professor level candidates must fulfill all the requirements above, along with at least 5 years’ experience as an Assistant Professor with an exemplary scholarly portfolio and supervisory experience.

Full Professor candidates must fulfill all the requirements of Associate Professor along with at least 5 years’ experience at the Associate Professor level with an exemplary scholarly portfolio and leadership experience.

The applicant is expected to be an expert in general pathology, perhaps with subspecialty expertise. In addition to being primarily responsible for the general pathology teaching of pre-clinical and clinical medical students, the educator will take a leadership role in co-leading 1-2 pre-clinical courses and collaborative role in other leadership groups.  Ideally, the candidate has experience with active and engaged learning methods, as our curriculum is lecture free. Our students learn through Team-Based Learning, Peer Instruction, and problem-based learning and are very successful on USMLE exams and excel as self-directed learners. The Department of Medical Education promotes innovation and scholarship in medical education.
