THE OPPORTUNITY

Methodist College invites applications from dedicated and dynamic leaders for the position of Chancellor. Reporting to the Board of Directors, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Regional Chief Executive Officer of UnityPoint Health, the Chancellor’s role at Methodist College encompasses a broad set of academic, business, and operational responsibilities. 

 

Methodist College’s next Chancellor must be a dynamic leader and strategic thinker who not only has clear goals and objectives in mind, but also creates a culture of productivity and accountability that drives results in a complex environment.  He or she must have both financial/organizational acumen and a long-term vision for academic excellence.

 

The next Chancellor will lead with humility while exhibiting the confidence and courage to take Methodist College to the next level.  She or he must be a collaborative, decisive, visionary leader with a global view who can draw on the tradition and history of Methodist College to move the institution forward through a strategic plan with clearly communicated strategic objectives.  This leader will bring new energy to the institution and passionately and articulately convey the College’s path to continued success.

 

THE COLLEGE

Methodist College, located in Peoria, Illinois, with roots dating back more than 100 years, is a four-year college affiliated with UnityPoint Health – Peoria that provides a high-quality education to approximately 600 students in nursing, health sciences, and human services through superb programming and clinical practice.  It is governed by a Board of Directors, composed of 12 members who represent the Peoria area community. 

 

Methodist College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), with the baccalaureate nursing program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).   Focused on nursing, health sciences, and human services programs, Methodist College offers academic excellence and baccalaureate degree programs that prepare students for a career in healthcare.
