The Department of Radiology at UC San Diego (http://radiology.ucsd.edu) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. The Department of Radiology wishes to recruit faculty member at the Assistant, Associate, or Full professor level for its abdominal and pelvic imaging division.

The candidate is expected to participate fully in all the clinical activities of the department, and will be responsible for interpreting abdominal/pelvic CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, and ultrasound. The candidate will teach fellows, residents, medical students, and visiting scholars and participate in division educational and administrative activities.

Candidates must have an MD or MD/PhD with board eligibility/board certification in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology. Candidates must also have completed an ACGME accredited residency training program, have completed fellowship training in body imaging, and must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.

The ideal candidate must have demonstrated academic productivity and scholarship, exemplary clinical care and teaching, and the ability and potential to become an international leader in the field of abdominopelvic imaging.

Candidates with prior experience in an academic setting are preferred.

The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level will be based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on the University of California pay scales. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded. As a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional activities and clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited.
