Vice President of Academic Affairs

St. Cloud Technical & Community College (SCTCC) in St. Cloud, Minnesota seeks an experienced, student-focused, visionary leader to serve as the Vice President of Academic Affairs. We welcome your inquiries, recommendations, or nominations for this opportunity.

 

SCTCC is a member of the Minnesota State system with 30 community and technical colleges and seven state universities. Minnesota State is the largest provider of higher education in Minnesota. SCTCC is at the center of a regional hub that includes many colleges and universities, major health care providers and a variety of large employers. The St. Cloud Area is home to about 190,000. The college is an hour’s drive to the Twin Cities and close to the many lakes and parks that are distinct Minnesota icons.

 

Located near the banks of the Mississippi River in north St. Cloud, SCTCC is sought out for careers in health care, business management, computer technology, manufacturing, construction, and transportation. In addition to the many technical and professional degrees offered, SCTCC is a comprehensive college that awards an Associate of Arts degree. A dedication to increase transfer and enrollment options, in collaboration with St. Cloud State University, puts SCTCC in a position for great growth over the next decade.

 

Reporting to the President, this academic affairs officer for the college:

 

  • Provides leadership and oversight of all academic programs
  • Advises the President on budget and planning for academic affairs
  • Works collaboratively with the Executive Leadership Team to promote student success
  • Defines, coordinates, and communicates integrated plans for growth and development
  • Serves on key committees internally, externally, and at the system level
  • Supervises four Deans and an Executive Assistant

 

A doctorate degree is preferred and a minimum of five years of experience in academic administration or seven years in a senior executive role with higher education knowledge is required.
