Millersville University of Pennsylvania (MU) welcomes applications for an Associate Vice President (AVP) for Grants, Sponsored Projects, and Research. The AVP reports to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.  The AVP will coordinate grants, sponsored projects, and research activity across the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) through Millersville University of Pennsylvania.  Within Millersville University, this individual will oversee the function and budgets for the Office and serves as managing supervisor for the unit, currently consisting of two individuals. This position, in collaboration with faculty, staff, deans, vice presidents and other administrators within Millersville University and across PASSHE, will develop and maintain effective procedures for the discovery, acquisition, and administration of grants and external contracts; preparation, authorization and submission of grant proposals and related contracts; budget preparation, implementation, and management; annual reporting and intellectual property protection; contract hiring; and ensures local compliance with university, system, state, and federal regulations and policies.
