Texas Woman's University (TWU) invites nominations and applications for the next dean of the College of Business. The dean serves as the academic and administrative leader of the College of Business and reports to the university's executive vice president for academic affairs and provost. The dean oversees a college that is served by 35 full-time faculty (20 tenured, 9 tenure-track and 6 visiting faculty) across three campuses (Denton, Dallas and Houston). The college enrolls more than 900 undergraduate students in its Bachelor of Business Administration programs and over 1,000 graduate students in its Masters of Business Administration and Masters of Healthcare Administration degrees.

The next dean of the College of Business will be charged with attaining and maintaining accreditation; supporting the success of a diverse student population, building on unique strengths in women's leadership and health care; nurturing and expanding community partnerships; and ensuring the college has the necessary resources to support its goals.

TWU is a public institution with a campus in Denton and health science centers in Dallas and Houston. About 90 percent of the university’s 15,500 students are women making it the largest university in the nation with such a gender composition, yet in terms of ethnicity, the student body looks a lot like Texas—ranked among the group of universities tied for “sixth most diverse” in the country by U.S. News and World Report in its latest publication. Over a third of the students are pursuing graduate degrees in one of 78 masters and doctoral programs. The remaining undergraduate population splits 53-47 by transfer student verse those first time in college (FTIC) students who start their college studies at Texas Woman’s. Of those FTIC students, about half are the first in their family to attend college and 44% are eligible for Pell grants.
