The College of Business at The University of Alabama in Huntsville invites applications for a tenure track position in marketing with an emphasis on digital/social media marketing at the assistant professor level. We seek applicants who welcome the challenges and rewards of serving on a diverse and intellectually curious faculty of a growing college located in a dynamic and supportive high technology community.

Responsibilities: Conduct and publish high quality scholarly research in a collegial environment in which both intra- and inter-disciplinary collaborations are valued. Teach marketing and digital/social media marketing courses in undergraduate and graduate programs in face-to-face or online modes as needed by the college. Participate actively in the profession, university service, and outreach to students and the local community.

Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Marketing or a closely related discipline is required. A Ph.D. from an AACSB accredited institution is preferred. Candidates must have an active research program in the marketing field. We prefer candidates with a research emphasis in digital marketing, e-commerce, social media, user-generated content, mobile technologies, marketing analytics, or a related sub-field. Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate marketing courses with an emphasis on digital/social media marketing courses is required. We prefer candidates who have a strong academic background, the ability to conduct research that is publishable in high quality journals, and commitment to excellence in graduate and undergraduate education, and the potential to expand student interest and engagement in the marketing major. ABD candidates will be considered. However, all requirements for the doctoral degree must be completed by August 1, 2021 to be appointed at the rank of Assistant Professor.
