Assistant Professor of Computer Science

Computer Science: Midwestern State University invites applications for tenure-track Assistant Professor position(s) in Computer Science. Teaching may involve evening and e-courses.  Position involves teaching and advising undergraduate and graduate students, ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of students, assisting with recruitment, supervising student research, performing original research and publishing commensurate with the candidate’s level, and service to the university, profession and community.  Teaching load is 12 hours (with a 3-hour reduction for teaching a Grad course). The starting date of the position is Jan 4, 2021. Requires earned Ph.D. in Computer Science or closely related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in computer science field from an accredited US institution. Preference to those with experience cybersecurity, data science, graphics, HPC, or systems. This position is designated as security sensitive and requires the finalist to complete a criminal background check.  ADAAA/EEO compliance employer.
