Two Assistant Professor-Accounting

Job Announcement

The Department of Accounting and Information Systems in the College of Business Administration at The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) invites applications from qualified candidates for two tenure-track faculty positions in Accounting. All areas of expertise will be accepted although preference will be given to those with teaching experience/interest in managerial, cost, tax, auditing, and financial accounting. Salary and benefits are AACSB-competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.  Responsibilities include publishing scholarly research in top academic journals, teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and service. The expected starting date is September 1, 2021.  Salary and benefits are AACSB-competitive and appropriate for experience and qualifications.  Hiring decisions are subject to final budget approval.

Required Qualifications

Completion of a Ph.D. degree in accounting from an AACSB-accredited institution by the starting date is necessary along with strong evidence of potential publication success in top journals and quality instruction. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are important.
