The University of California Office of the President operates a system-wide service organization, UCPath Center. The Center is a crucial component of the University of California's high priority project to centralize, streamline and standardize the University's Human Resources, payroll benefits, general ledger, workforce administration and academic processes.

Launched in late 2015, UCPath Center opened successfully in conjunction with its initial deployment of the HCM suite of applications for UC's Office of the President. Since that time, the UCPath Center has expanded its capabilities and is now fully operational, with 430 employees serving the UC System as a whole. With its services now deployed across all campuses and Medical Centers, the UCPath Center is entering its next phase of development, striving for continuous process improvement and ongoing technological upgrades to better serve its stakeholders. This transactional hub is now providing services to the over 220,000 employees of the University of California.

The Executive Director will oversee all areas of the UCPath Center - customer service, processing, operations, and support teams. As the leader, this position holds ultimate accountability for the service center's operations, performance, and service delivery. This position is responsible for key management processes including, but not limited to: planning, budgeting, resource management, and talent management. This next leader will lead the transformation from a rapidly growing start-up organization, to a phase of stabilization and optimization of operations. The Executive Director must also build and maintain strong working relationships with campus business leaders and with UC policy experts located in the UC Office of the President.

The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience building and managing complex and scaled multi-site customer service centers including relevant experience delivering solutions for HR, payroll and/or benefits administration in a senior management capacity. The ideal candidate will have experience assessing systems, developing improvement plans and implementing necessary changes to current practices and processes necessary to scale the operation to manage increased volume.

The Executive Director, UCPath Center position reports into the Chief Information Officer, UC Office of the President. The position is located at the UCPath Center in Riverside, California.
