The palliative Care physicians bring multi-faceted expertise, including general internal medicine, family medicine, psychology, vascular surgery, and infectious disease.

The Supportive and Palliative Care program staffs a daily outpatient clinic and an inpatient service, including a dedicated palliative unit, within an 811 bed tertiary university hospital.  The program supports an accredited Palliative Care fellowship and a learning culture at all levels.  The program partners with two community hospice organizations.  Philanthropic support for the program is strong, and planning is underway to establish a Palliative Care Institute to serve as the hub of a statewide palliative care outreach initiative.
