Faculty Position in the Grado Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering

 

The Grado Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Virginia Tech is seeking outstanding candidates to teach technical communication to undergraduate engineering students. This non-tenure-track appointment will be as an Instructor, effective August 2020. The Instructor position includes a clear promotion path and instructors are full members of the faculty. This position is an academic year (AY) position, with opportunity for summer compensation.

 

Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree, with at least one degree in Technical Communication, Engineering Education (specializing in technical communication), English (specializing in technical writing), or a closely related field. Preference will be given to applicants having experience teaching technical communication and/or a degree/experience in engineering.
