Business Partner
Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) is recruiting for a Business Partner to support the Office of Statewide Initiatives (OSI), Graduate Medical Education (GME), and Office for Faculty (OF). The Business Partner is responsible for managing the financial and business operations of a large unit within the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med). This position acts as a liaison between their assigned work unit and the Office of Operations and Financial Services to ensure processes are completed timely and in compliance with financial regulations and human resources policies and procedures. The Business Partner oversees their assigned work unit’s fiscal activity, proactively monitors budgetary compliance, evaluates financial and operational performance, manages the unit’s staffing and operational needs, implements business process improvements, and assists with strategic planning at the unit level. This position plays an important role in supporting the overall research, academic, clinical, and community outreach services core to the mission of UNR Med. This position reports directly to the UNR Med Controller/CFO with additional accountabilities to the Director, Associate Dean, or Senior Associate Dean of their assigned unit. The incumbent also works with the operational leader for their assigned unit(s) to ensure the alignment of operational and financial activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and two years of related work experience, OR
- Master's Degree and one year of related work experience.
Related experience: office or project management, business operations, finance/budget management, business compliance, human capital management.
- Nevada Driver's License
This position requires occasional travel and has a variable work schedule.
