Assistant or Associate Professor of Accounting

The New Mexico State University Department of Accounting and Information Systems is seeking candidates for two tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.  New Mexico State University holds business and accounting accreditation by AACSB International. The opening is for a position beginning August 2020.

Candidates at the Assistant Professor level are required to hold a doctorate in accounting or in business administration with major in accounting from an AACSB-accredited business school, or be ABD at time of application with expected degree completion by August 2020. The initial course load will be 6 credit hours per semester. 

Candidates for Associate Professor are required hold a doctorate in accounting or in business administration with major in accounting from an AACSB-accredited business school and have an established record of high-quality teaching and research, including publications in quality accounting journals. 

The successful applicant will have responsibilities in teaching and advising, research and service to the department, college, university, and community. The position requires continued scholarly activity, including research publications in refereed accounting journals. Candidates with teaching interests in all areas of accounting will be considered.
