The University of South Florida (USF) invites applications and nominations for an outstanding and innovative leader as the next Dean of the College of The Arts. The next Dean will have the opportunity to lead a college with many strong programs and people, solid foundations, and that is part of a dynamic community eager to achieve greater levels of preeminence. The Dean will be part of an environment marked with entrepreneurialism and ambition that is fertile ground from which to elevate the College of The Arts.

The Dean of the College of The Arts reports directly to the Provost, serves as the College's chief academic officer, and represents the College as a member of the Provost's Council of Deans. The Dean will serve as the chief advocate in helping to increase the preeminence and recognition of the College more broadly. In collaboration with the College’s stakeholders, the Dean will also ensure that teaching, scholarship, and research are of the highest standard. Working alongside USF's faculty and administrative team, the Dean will advocate for the importance of the arts in higher education. The successful Dean will also support interdisciplinary initiatives and facilitate the development of research growth in the arts; expand external relationships in the community; increase fund raising support; help in the consolidation of the arts programs in the USF System; enhance diversity; and promote faculty and student success.
