Goizueta Business School (GBS) of Emory University, a top business school in the thriving cosmopolitan business city of Atlanta, seeks an accomplished and experienced higher education leader to serve as its Chief Business, Analytics, and Operations Officer (CBAOO).  Reporting to the Dean of Goizueta Business School, the CBAOO will oversee and strengthen the school’s business and financial operations, strategic resource planning, and data-informed decision capabilities in support of the educational mission.  As a member of the leadership team, the CBAOO will be a trusted partner to the Dean, other senior leaders, faculty, and staff of GBS as well as the broader university.

The GBS community of faculty, staff, students, and alumni is one that values innovation and creative thinking and aspires to reach even greater heights.  The next CBAOO will join GBS at an exciting period of ambitious growth and change as it celebrates its centennial anniversary.

The ideal candidate will be an effective leader, natural collaborator, deft manager, developer of talent, and skilled communicator. A deep sense of accountability to others and the institution, as well as true self-awareness and empathy will be key to success. The candidate will also have a strategic, decision-enabling mindset and keen financial acumen that will allow them to effectively advise and partner with GBS leadership and key stakeholders.  The candidate will also demonstrate the ability to deliver candid feedback and lead with a consistent focus on excellence in order to move the organization steadily forward. The CBAOO should have experience with financial analysis, reporting, and strategy; preferably in a higher education environment, with knowledge and/or experience of other operational areas, particularly facilities management, data analytics, human resources, and information technology. The ideal candidate should be committed to transparency and playing a visible and engaged role within the school and broader university. The CBAOO must also understand and support external partnerships that are critical to the educational mission.
