The Department of Educational Leadership in the College of Education seeks to appoint an eminent scholar as the Del and Jewell Lewis Endowed Chair by Fall 2020. This prestigious endowed position represents a unique opportunity to participate in leading the College to national prominence in educating school leaders, as well as positively influencing all facets of school performance across Arizona. The ideal candidate is an individual whose active research agenda and extensive publication record in high-quality refereed journals will enhance and further inspire the preparation and ongoing development of highly effective educational leaders. We welcome candidates whose scholarly work in educational leadership explores any of the following issues: the preparation and/or support of effective school leaders; justice and equity in relation to race, culture, gender and/or sexuality; and Indigenous and/or Borderlands youth, families, and communities (issues of land, migration, ability, and/or language). Minimum Qualifications:

1. Conferred doctorate in the study of Pre-K-12 leadership, educational policy or directly related field.

2. Qualifications consistent with the rank of Associate or Full Professor in the College of Education at NAU.

3. A documented research record of national prominence directly related to the field of educational leadership.

4. Leadership experience at the Pre-K-12 level with evidence of progressively expanding responsibilities beyond entry level appointments.
