Major Duties
Under general supervision, the Network Analyst is responsible for the daily operations of all aspects of campus wired and wireless network infrastructure. The incumbent is responsible for providing timely response and resolution to all client incidents related to network related issues (data, voice & video); responsible for network equipment configuration, deployment, troubleshooting, network analysis, design and maintenance of an enterprise campus network in a multi-vendor on-premises and cloud hybrid environment; configures and operates routers, switches, VPN's, firewalls and load balancers; takes proactive actions to correct any network related problems with little supervision; manages campus DNS, DHCP and RADIUS services; automates network deployment and operations utilizing scripting languages and configuration tools; maintains/troubleshoots network infrastructure in the cloud; responsible for keeping security at the forefront of all aspects of network management; works closely with web development, application development, database and system administration teams on projects and break-fix tasks; available for 24/7 support on a scheduled basis; and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in a job-related field. Certification training and applied experience may be substituted for the required education, on a year-for-year basis up to two years. Three years of full-time, progressively responsible field-related experience of in network maintenance with a variety of network devices.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Thorough knowledge of telecommunications or a related technical environment, transmission technologies, and data network architecture principles, devices, characteristics, protocols, and LAN/WAN interconnectivity, VLAN's, subnetting, DNS, and DHCP. General knowledge of: data network architecture, its functional characteristics and complexity. Working knowledge of network concepts in cloud (AWS required/Azure preferred); and network enabling services (DHCP, DNS, RADIUS). Ability and specialized skills to: work independently and as a team player; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; identify, analyze, diagnose, and resolve systems problems promptly; provide effective training and clear instructions; develop written and oral presentations as needed; work effectively in teams; maintain deadlines; determine priorities; work effectively under pressure; learn the operations of network software and hardware quickly; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and administration.

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

The salary range for this classification is: $4,372 - $10,792 per month.
The anticipated HIRING RANGE: $4,372 - $8,000, dependent upon qualifications and experience.

HOURS: Full-Time; 40 hours per week; 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. May include some evenings and weekends.

REG: This is a Regular position with a one-year probationary period.
