Clinical Faculty in Quantitative Methods

The Quantitative Methods Area in the Krannert School of Management, Purdue University, invites applications for a clinical assistant professor position (promotable to clinical associate or full professor). This position will start in August, 2020. A Ph.D. or M.A./M.S. with teaching experience at the college level is required.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for (1) coordinating instructional materials and teaching undergraduate courses, such as Management Science, Business Statistics, Data Mining, Predictive Analytics, Advanced Spreadsheet Modeling, etc., (2) developing and teaching project courses at undergraduate level, and (3) developing and teaching quantitative methods courses of the master’s programs, weekend MBA program, online MBA program, and online Master’s Program in Business Analytics and Information Management.

 

Additional responsibilities include attending professional conferences that deal with Business Analytics to keep abreast of the latest developments and to revise our courses accordingly, generating and supervising experiential learning projects for undergraduate and graduate students, representing the Quantitative Methods area in the undergraduate business programs, and serving a management role in the master’s programs.

 

For this clinical position, the expected academic year load on teaching is 18 credit hours, and the expected academic year load on program management, area/department/school service, and external partners’ engagement is 6 credit hours. This is a non-tenure track position with full employment benefits. Salary and compensation will be highly competitive and commensurate with candidate experience and achievements. A background check will be required for employment in the position.
