Dean of the Schroeder School of Business Administration

The Schroeder Family School of Business Administration at the University of Evansville, seeks a dynamic and energetic leader to serve as its next Dean.  The Dean will be responsible for growing student enrollment; developing a strategic and bold vision for the School; recruiting and retaining faculty while providing career support; actively engaging in resource development; and deepening engagement with an active advisory board as well as the business community.

 

The ideal candidate will have a distinguished record of scholarship, teaching, and service, as well as progressive leadership experience and will demonstrate collaborative administrative success in higher education, knowledge of professional business practices, an entrepreneurial approach to problem-solving and fundraising, and experience in a leadership role in the AACSB accreditation process. The university also welcomes candidates who, while not possessing such a record of accomplishment within the academy, have demonstrated the ability to lead diverse groups and programs to substantially enhanced levels of distinction and productivity in a highly collaborative environment, an understanding of accreditation and/or regulatory processes, and a growth mindset. For all candidates, an understanding of and commitment to traditional academic values – including especially the centrality of student success, shared governance, and the connection between teaching and scholarship – is required.

 

The Schroeder Family School of Business Administration is an accredited member of AACSB International – the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The School prepares undergraduate students in a liberal arts framework to become globally aware business professionals. The School has 15 faculty and enrolls approximately 250 undergraduate students majoring in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Global Business, Management, Marketing, and Logistics and Supply Chain Management. The Schroeder School is currently ranked the #4 business school in the United States of small colleges by U.S. News and World Report with the Finance program ranked #2 and the Accounting program ranked #3.
