Professor of Professional Practice - Chemistry & Biochemistry

 

The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry of Texas Christian University seeks an accomplished instructor of general chemistry to join the faculty as a professor of professional practice (non-tenure track). This 9-month position requires the applicant to teach one or more sections of general chemistry at the highest level of rigor. Experience in curriculum development and assessment is required. A PhD in chemistry is required. At least ten years of experience in teaching general chemistry is highly desired. Applicants should submit a letter of intent that addresses experience in the teaching of general chemistry, a statement of teaching philosophy and evidence of teaching excellence.  In addition, a cv, examples of instructional materials, and the names of three references should be provided. Applications will be evaluated starting December 1.
