Multiple Tenure-Track Positions

Michigan Technological University has a number of open positions as part of a strategic hiring initiative and is seeking interdisciplinary faculty in the broad fields of ethics and computing.

After recently launching nine new and exciting Tech Forward initiatives the University is seeking interdisciplinary faculty to assist with this vision.

Position Descriptions

Our College of Computing and College of Engineering invite applications for five (5) assistant or associate professor positions in the broadly defined areas of computing education, computer engineering, computer science and electrical engineering. Priority areas of consideration include, but are not limited to cybersecurity, artificial intelligence/machine learning, cloud computing/internet of things, robotics/automation, robotics/healthcare, big data/data science, human interfaces, embedded systems, and education research related to computing fields. As part of these initiatives, Michigan Tech is also bolstering its strength in interdisciplinary ethics research and educational programs. We solicit applications for a tenure-track position in ethics broadly construed. Candidates should have expertise in applied research areas such as health, climate, energy, environment, computing, social justice, media, communication, engineering, business, or other research areas. Faculty hired through these initiatives may reside in any academic unit.

In addition to the above strategic hires, our new initiatives will also serve to broaden the humanities department’s involvement across campus with opportunities to shape Michigan Tech’s technological, ethical, and political association across the globe. They are actively seeking applicants for a Department Chair and Assistant Professor of Rhetoric & Composition.
