Associate Professor, General and Basic Engineering

The Department of General and Basic Engineering, in the College of Engineering at Tennessee Tech University (TTU), Cookeville, TN, invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure track position to begin August 2020. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate engineering courses, engage in scholarly activity, and perform service in support of the General and Basic Engineering department.  Qualified candidates must possess a PhD in industrial engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution.  Preferred candidates will have the ability to teach graduate engineering management courses, experience in teaching distance courses, a bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program, and relevant experience in engineering education, including senior engineering design, and research and proposal writing.  Experience in ABET-accreditation process and in program assessment methods is preferable.

The expected starting date of employment is August 2020.
