Dean, AddRan College of Liberal Arts

Texas Christian University (TCU) invites nominations and expressions of interest for the position of Dean of the AddRan College of Liberal Arts.  The University seeks a visionary leader who is dedicated to enriching the intellectual lives of students, faculty, and the global community.

TCU seeks a Dean of the AddRan College of Liberal Arts who will further the mission of the College and advance the University’s strategic plan. TCU is interested in candidates who will actively advocate for the liberal arts while working across, and respecting the contributions of, all disciplines and colleges to support students and faculty. The ideal candidate will have an outstanding record of scholarly research, extensive experience in academic administration at the undergraduate and graduate level, and demonstrated effectiveness in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Dean is the chief executive officer of the AddRan College of Liberal Arts; will report directly to the Provost; and must work effectively with deans, department chairs, program directors, faculty, and staff to further the College and University’s mission and goals. The Dean will have excellent communication skills and cultivate relationships within the broader community as well as engage in fundraising activities. In particular, we seek a Dean who can continue to foster engagement between AddRan and interdisciplinary programs such as the John V. Roach Honors College and the School of Interdisciplinary Studies. This includes promoting the teacher-scholar model and leading AddRan as a liberal arts college that is nationally recognized for innovative learning and critical inquiry that advances human understanding of local and global concerns.
