EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF BUSINESS AFFAIRS AND CFO

The College of Charleston announces a nationwide search to recruit a new Executive Vice President of Business Affairs.  

 

Located in the heart of historic Charleston, South Carolina, the College of Charleston is a nationally recognized public liberal arts and sciences university with professional programs like business, education, and engineering. Over 9,500 undergraduates and approximately 1,000 graduate students at the College enjoy a small-college feel blended with the advantages and diversity of a mid-sized, urban university. The Division of Business Affairs enables the College’s mission by providing support of the operating, financial, technological, and physical infrastructure components of campus. The Division works to secure and effectively manage funds necessary to maintain the College’s academic programs and support services. The unit is organized into multiple departments, which provide many fundamental services to students, faculty, and staff. Reporting directly to the President of the University, Andrew Hsu, the EVP of Business Affairs will serve as the chief financial officer of the University, will be a key member of the President’s cabinet. The chosen candidate will provide leadership and focus for all financial and operational matters. The University seeks an EVP of Business Affairs who combines technical expertise and broad managerial experience with a collaborative and collegial leadership style. The best candidates will possess a spirit of partnership, transparency, proven fiscal responsibility, and a broad understanding of challenges facing public higher education. An innovative leader with proven success in change management is ideal. An MBA, CPA or other graduate degree is preferred, but not required.
