UCLA's Health Sciences Development team is currently seeking a dynamic candidate for the position of Senior Director of Development, Hospital Initiatives to serve as a strategic partner to the Senior Executive Director, assisting in the overall leadership and guidance of Hospital Initiative efforts and programs. The Senior Director will be instrumental in securing gifts and other resources in support of the UCLA Hospital System—including the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital and the UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica.

The Senior Director will design, implement and manage a robust major gifts program to attract private support for areas within Hospital Initiatives including, but not limited to, Emergency Medicine and the Center for Pre-Hospital Care; the Gluck Stroke Rescue Program and the Mobile Stroke Unit (MSU); the President's Clinical Innovation Fund, Biodesign Program and Clinical Innovation Competition; the Integrative Medicine Collaborative; and the Center for East-West Medicine. This individual will also personal cultivate, solicit and steward major gifts donors and prospects in assigned areas and will work with the Senior Executive Director with select principal gift donors and other Hospital Initiatives fundraising efforts. As the Hospital Initiatives team grows, the Senior Director will be responsible for the management and supervision of staff.

The Senior Director will have at least seven years of progressively significant, successful experience, a proven track record in management of development or comparable programs and a strong document record of gifts solicited and closed. This individual will have outstanding interpersonal, verbal and communication skills as well as outstanding organizational, strategic planning and overall supervisory and administrative capabilities to lead and manage staff.
