Major Gift Officers in Advancement & Alumni Relations

George Mason University is seeking two Major Gift Officers in Advancement & Alumni Relations who are strategic collaborators with experience in identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding lead donors.

The Office of Advancement & Alumni Relations team is an ambitious and experienced team who are celebrating the success of their recently closed campaign that exceed the goal of $500M by raising over $690M. They foster lifelong relationships, facilitate advocacy, and secure private and public financial support for GMU while working closely with advancement professionals in the schools, colleges, and units as well as with faculty, staff, and volunteer leaders across the university. The team consists of approximately 125 professional and support staff members in both central advancement and in the schools and units.

The Major Gift Officers will report to the Deputy Vice President for Advancement (DVP) and manage a portfolio of approximately 125 potential and current Major Gift ($25,000+) level donors to the university, facilitating all phases of the gift cycle. They will work collaboratively with key volunteers, school leadership and faculty, Advancement staff and other school representatives to engage with donors for university priorities.
