Vice Chancellor for Business Services

The University of Pittsburgh is seeking candidates for the position of Vice Chancellor for Business Services. This executive is accountable for the University's auxiliary services, including housing, dining, transportation, parking, the University Club, the Peterson Events Center, and all University stores. The Vice Chancellor will serve as an internal advisor and strategic partner to the Senior Vice Chancellor and support the development and implementation of business strategies, performance improvement initiatives, and value creation.

Founded in 1787, Pitt is one of the oldest institutions of higher education in the United States, with a long and proud 227-year history.  It currently serves approximately 10,000 graduate and 25,000 undergraduate students through 16 graduate, professional, and undergraduate schools at its Pittsburgh campus and four regional campuses. In a recent US News & World Report ranking, the University of Pittsburgh was ranked 42nd on a list of the top 500 universities in the world.

The Vice Chancellor for Business Services is charged with providing oversight, direction, and leadership for the auxiliary functions at the University of Pittsburgh, ensuring the effective management and efficiency of these facilities and service operations in manners that best support and serve the University's varied constituents, its mission and its strategic priorities. These facilities and services are highly visible to Pitt's internal and external "customers".
