<p><strong>General Description</strong> </p> <p> </p> <p>The Department of Communication Studies at New Mexico State University seeks to hire <strong><em>two</em></strong> tenure-track faculty members to begin in the fall semester of 2020. </p> <p> </p> <p>For the first position, department seeks a colleague to teach and conduct empirically-based research in the areas of <strong>social influence and/or communication technology</strong>. Other highly desired areas of scholarship include political communication, quantitative or qualitative research methods, and/or experience in the basic course in Communication. Other desired areas of scholarship include communication theory, communication technology/social media, quantitative or qualitative research methods, and/or experience in the basic course in Communication. Candidates must demonstrate evidence of a developing research program as well as potential for obtaining external research funds.
