Assistant Professor of Rhetoric and Composition

Applications for the position of Assistant Professor for the English and Modern Languages Department with specialization in border/cultural rhetorics and a strong interest in the history and theory of rhetoric are invited. 

Duties and Responsibilities: Duties include ongoing scholarly activity and university service; responsibilities include undergraduate- and graduate-level teaching and advising in rhetoric, composition, literacy, writing in the disciplines, workplace writing, and pedagogy.

Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Composition or Communication or Cultural Studies or Literacy Studies (or other closely related field) from an accredited university at time of appointment; evidence of the potential for effective college or university teaching; evidence of potential to build a strong record of scholarly publication; evidence of potential to direct an internship program or large writing program.

Date of Appointment: The university seeks to fill this position beginning in the 2020-2021 academic year.
