Assistant Director of Scholarships

Ohio University is recruiting for an Assistant Director of Scholarships. This position will manage awarding, renewal and reconciliation of University general fund and endowed/restricted scholarship accounts. Individual will serve as liaison to academic college Dean’s offices and regional campus student services offices. He or she will administer donor relations activities related to scholarship awarding.

This position is responsible for supervising one classified staff member who manages outside agency (outside source) scholarship funds. This position is also responsible for providing counsel to students and parents on all financial aid and scholarship matters, as well as monitoring various financial aid and scholarship eligibility.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, excellent verbal and written communication, and management experience. A Master’s degree in Higher Education or a similar field as well as experience managing a large program and progressive experience in a financial aid office are preferred.
