Academic Career & Executive Search is pleased to assist Missouri State University in their search for an accomplished leader to serve as the next Dean of the McQueary College of Health and Human Services.

The University seeks a visionary, dynamic and energetic leader who will guide the College to meet expanding and changing health-care education needs. As chief administrative officer of the College, the Dean will provide professional, intellectual and administrative leadership while helping to pursue pathways consistent with the Public Affairs mission of the university. The Dean is expected to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students by promoting excellence in teaching and scholarship; encouraging faculty development; facilitating student recruitment and retention; supporting a commitment to diversity; building partnerships with external constituents and public organizations; engaging in fundraising and alumni relations; and demonstrating sound fiscal management.

Candidates must have the following:

1) A terminal degree in a discipline within the college or related field

2) Credentials consistent with an appointment at the rank of full professor

3) Evidence of significant academic administrative accomplishments, including but not limited to fiscal oversight, personnel management, program accreditation, and strategic planning

4) Evidence of successful leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, and Interdisciplinary collaboration

5) A demonstrated commitment to diversity

6) Experience in fundraising, alumni relations, and development activities

The McQueary College of Health and Human Services is one of seven academic colleges at Missouri State University. There are over 4,700 majors in twelve departments:

The departments offer 16 baccalaureate programs and 15 Master’s programs (all including certificates) and 4 professional doctorates. Specialized facilities include an excellent electron microscopy suite, metabolic measurement equipment, motion analysis and gait analysis systems, a balance master, biomedical laboratories, state of the art nursing simulation laboratories, and speech-language and audiology testing equipment. In 2012, the McQueary Health Sciences Hall opened a 5,000 square foot second wing expansion to the Physical Therapy building. In 2015, the O'Reilly Clinical Health Sciences Center opened to provide additional space for the rapidly expanding health science programs. We will be adding a third wing in 2019. This facility includes a multidisciplinary health clinic, skills laboratories, offices, and classrooms for the occupational therapy, physician assistant studies, nurse anesthesia, and nursing programs. The Professional Building is home to four MCHHS academic units plus an open access computer laboratory facility and the Speech-Language Hearing Clinic, both located on the first floor. Additional MCHHS academic programs are housed in Hill Hall, Pummill Hall, McDonald Hall and Arena, and Kings Street Annex.
