Applications are invited for a full-time, tenure-track assistant or associate professor position in management (position #118520) with a focus on business strategy, starting August 2019 subject to funding availability.  The position is located in Pensacola, Florida.  Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate capstone strategy courses in face-to-face, online and blended formats is a must. Additional teaching assignments may include core courses in fundamentals of management and/or management information systems. 

Familiarity with CapSim or BSG simulation is considered a strong asset. Experience with utilizing high impact practices and assessment of learning goals is highly desired.

Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Management, MIS, Business Analytics, Management Science or closely related discipline from an accredited institution by the start date of the appointment, as well as, a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.

Preferred candidates will have a Ph.D. or D.B.A. in management or a closely related field from an Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accredited school at the time of appointment.  ABDs will be considered; but must provide strong evidence that the doctoral degree will be completed prior to August 2019. Preferred candidates will also have relevant teaching experience which includes proven effectiveness in online course development and teaching, as well as, professional experience.  Prior teaching experience in related teaching fields at the college level with evidence of teaching excellence is strongly desired. Involvement with community engaged learning and success in developing cooperative programs/initiatives with industry, as well as, evidence of continuing involvement with local and national industry partners is preferred. Candidates considered for the rank of assistant professor must demonstrate the potential to pursue a balanced commitment to excellent teaching, productive research, and active professional and community service.  A track record of high-quality scholarly publications, teaching excellence, and service to academic and professional communities is required for appointment at the rank of associate professor.

In addition to teaching and conducting research, successful candidates will be required to perform academic and career counseling, serve on departmental, college and university committees, and participate in assessment activities.  A normal teaching load is three courses per semester. This position may require teaching at other campuses of the university. Opportunities for summer support for teaching or research are normally available.  Opportunities may exist for faculty to teach abroad at the University’s partner schools.
