Assistant Professor in Quantitative Methods

The Krannert School of Management invites applicants for two tenure-track faculty positions at the assistant professor level in the Quantitative Methods area to begin in the fall semester of 2019. Candidates for the positions must have a doctorate in applied mathematics, computer science, engineering, operations research, management science, statistics, or a closely related field. We are interested in filling one position with a candidate whose research interests are in the disciplines of data science, such as data mining, machine learning, high-dimensional data analysis, and broad data analytics, both theoretically and computationally. For the second position, we welcome strong applicants from all research areas represented within the Quantitative Methods area. Successful applicants are expected to have exceptional potential for leadership in research, to conduct research publishable in top-tier academic journals, to attract and supervise doctoral students, to teach courses in business statistics and management science at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and to actively participate in other school activities. The Krannert undergraduate quantitative analysis program and the Krannert master program in business analytics and information management have been ranked among the top programs nationally and internationally.
