Department of Computer Information Systems Chair

The College of Business at Colorado State University invites applications for a chair of the Department of Computer Information Systems. Rank is at the Associate or Full Professor level. This position calls for a visionary individual who will be a strong advocate for the department and who will provide leadership that fosters excellence in teaching, research and service activities, and further enhances the department's reputation. Candidates must have a doctoral degree in Information Systems or a closely related field; a distinguished record of research, teaching, and service commensurate with a tenured appointment as an associate or full professor of Computer Information Systems in the College of Business; evidence of ongoing ability to publish in premier and high-quality academic journals; and leadership/management/administrative experience. Preference will be given to those candidates who have a commitment to further enhancing the collaborative environment within the department; a commitment to continuous improvement of teaching, research, and service performance; demonstrated excellence in administrative endeavors; demonstrated leadership qualities; demonstrated ability to interact effectively with external stakeholders; experience with distance/online education models; experience with graduate programs in information systems; and the ability to be a strong advocate for the department.

The anticipated start date is July 2019. Salary will be competitive based upon credentials and experience.
