Instructor, Lecturer or Sr. Lecturer - Engineering Technologies - Aviation Studies

Bowling Green State University. Position: Full-time, renewable, non-tenure-track position, open rank (Instructor, Lecturer, or Senior Lecturer), Aviation Studies Program, Department of Engineering Technologies. Start date January 2019 (August 2019 may be negotiable). Primary Responsibilities: Teach and develop undergraduate level courses in aviation safety, airline management/operations, and flight ground school courses. Serve as Safety Coordinator for the Flight Technology and Operations (FTO) specialization and provide quality assurance of flight training performed by Bowling Green Flight Center (BGFC). Perform service to the department, college, and university as well as to the profession at a national level. Minimum Qualifications: A master’s degree, and one-year professional experience in aviation. Preferred Qualifications: A master’s degree in aviation or related field. FAA commercial single and multi-engine certificate and FAA flight instructor certificate for CFI, CFII, and MEI, or Military Equivalent, Candidates should demonstrate experience to teach and develop aviation courses at the undergraduate level and the ability to teach courses in aviation safety, airline management/operations, and flight ground school. Experience in Aviation safety.
