St. John’s University invites nominations and applications for the position of Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. As the chief academic officer of the University, the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) provides academic vision and leadership to foster academic excellence and to fulfill St. John’s University’s Catholic and Vincentian mission. The Provost and VPAA reports directly to the President and oversees all academic schools, colleges, and programs; faculty affairs; and a variety of academic support functions for the University.
Established in 1870, St. John’s University has three New York City campuses; a graduate center in Hauppauge, NY; international locations in Rome, Italy; Limerick, Ireland; and Paris, France; and study abroad locations around the world. The Princeton Review and other top rankings consistently recognize the University’s outstanding academics, diverse student body, dynamic internship and volunteer opportunities, focus on student life, and diverse study abroad offerings.
St. John’s University offers more than 100 undergraduate and graduate programs in its six colleges and schools (St. John’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, The School of Education, The Peter J. Tobin College of Business, College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, College of Professional Studies, and School of Law), with a growing number of programs offered online.
