Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital located in St. Petersburg, Florida is seeking a dynamic development leader to serve as its inaugural Senior Director of the Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital Foundation (JHACHF). Reporting to the Executive Vice President of JHACHF, the Senior Director will plan, structure and operationalize efforts to expand philanthropic support of the hospital through major and principal gifts.

The Senior Director of JHACHF will lead a team of major gift fundraising professionals who are responsible for a significant component of JHACHF's fundraising operations and results. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a high profile within the organization and outside in the community. This leader must have passion for the cause with the ability to articulate the vision of JHACHF and to shape a philanthropic program that supports that vision. Additionally, the new leader will manage a small portfolio of high-level prospects and donors with responsibility for the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major gifts. The Senior Director is a key member of the Executive Vice President’s senior leadership team and as such participates in strategic planning and works collaboratively with leadership across JHACHF to ensure alignment with and creative approaches to support key priorities, initiatives and opportunities. The Senior Director will have an opportunity to contribute to the success of one of Florida's finest healthcare institutions and to make a personal impact on the future of this vitally-important pediatric hospital and the patients and families it serves.

JHACHF seeks a strategic, collaborative, innovative and goal-orientated development leader with demonstrated success in leading a productive team of development professionals and a strong track record of fundraising and organizational success. This individual will be a values-driven and results- oriented leader with demonstrated success in utilizing metrics to drive philanthropy. They will have experience partnering with executive and clinical leadership to create sophisticated gift strategies and close principal gifts. They will have superior communication skills with a proven ability to develop strong relationships accompanied by the credibility and knowledge base to foster collaboration across the hospital. The successful candidate will also be a transparent and collegial leader comfortable spearheading and supporting change in a complex environment. The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree; a master’s degree is preferred. In addition, candidates must be a senior leader with an outstanding record of achievement with at least five years of major gift experience and management of fundraisers. Prior experience in a complex integrated healthcare delivery system or physician-centric organization is strongly desired.
