The Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges (AGB) seeks an accomplished, innovative professional to serve as Senior Director, Institutionally Related Foundations with leadership responsibility for the development and delivery of AGB’s comprehensive programs and services for institutionally related foundation boards to support their governance responsibilities and fiduciary duties. This position affords the unique opportunity to engage with institutionally related foundation boards and foundation chief executives and provide guidance and direction for foundation board-related governance, policy, legal, management, and performance issues on a national scale.  

The Senior Director, Institutionally Related Foundations will work closely with various departments in AGB to ensure the effective support and engagement of foundation boards. As a member of the Best Practice and Innovation department, the Senior Director also will provide support for major departmental efforts. The Senior Director will report to the Vice President for Best Practice and Innovation. The Senior Director also will have direct access and a dotted line to the President of AGB, reflecting the importance and scope of AGB’s institutionally related foundations programs and services. The Senior Director will share in supervising the work of an administrative assistant.

The Senior Director, Institutionally Related Foundations position offers the exciting opportunity to work with institutionally related foundation boards across the country and play a key role in helping them to meaningfully and effectively serve and advance their related institutions through AGB’s preeminent work in this arena.
