Full-Time Position:  Assistant Professor, tenure-track, beginning August 2019. The Division of Dance invites nominations and applications for an opportunity to be instrumental in the shaping of a dynamic, comprehensive and holistic program in dance performance.  Creative energy, intellectual strength, a broad-ranging repertoire and teaching interests are essential.  We welcome candidates from all backgrounds.  The candidate selected will be expected to be a significant partner in connecting the Division to an increasingly diverse and globally-connected community within the university and the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.

Minimum qualifications: We seek candidates who have a strong background in performance and choreography and a record of distinction as artist and teacher.  Other responsibilities include advising undergraduates, participating in student recruitment, serving on Divisional committees, attending faculty meetings and supervising student projects. 

Preferred qualifications: Terminal degree and/or equivalent professional performing experience required.  University level teaching and expertise in one other area of dance related studies such as dance history, kinesiology, or somatic practices is desirable but not required.

Position begins August 1, 2019.
