Vice President for Enrollment Management

New York Institute of Technology (NYIT), a dynamic, highly ranked and accredited, not-for-profit private university invites nominations and applications for an accomplished, data-informed and creative leader to serve as its next vice president for enrollment management. NYIT seeks a vice president who will report directly and work closely with President Hank Foley to define and build the university’s next chapters of growth and success.

Founded in 1955, NYIT has seven schools and colleges: School of Architecture and Design; College of Arts and Sciences, College of Engineering and Computing Sciences; School of Health Professions; School of Management; College of Osteopathic Medicine, and School of Interdisciplinary Studies and Education. With anchor New York campuses in Long Island (Old Westbury) and New York City (Manhattan); global campuses in Canada, China, and the Middle East; dual degree programs with partner universities in several countries; an additional location of its medical school in Arkansas, and robust online programs. NYIT is committed to educating the next generation of leaders, and to inspiring innovation and advancing entrepreneurship.

Offering 90 degree programs in more than 50 fields of study, including undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees, NYIT serves nearly 10,000 students worldwide. About half its students are studying for degrees beyond the bachelor’s degree. Supporting these students are 1,743 full-time and part-time faculty and staff. Also NYIT sponsors 13 NCAA Division II athletic programs.  Over the past 15 years the quality and diversity of its students has increased significantly as has the size and quality of its distinguished faculty (currently 328 full-time faculty). The university has upgraded its infrastructure while branding itself to raise its national and international profile.

NYIT seeks a leader with proven success in driving a sophisticated enrollment management program and the personal qualities to support a high-quality and analytically rigorous enrollment program for a global university. Reporting to the president, and as a member of the president's council, the vice president plays a major role in executing vision and guiding the institution as a whole, while serving as a key senior administrator charged with achieving the university’s enrollment and retention initiatives. The vice president oversees a staff of over 80 professionals across admissions; financial aid; graduate, international, and global recruitment; student communications; enrollment systems management; and the enrollment services center.

The vice president should have an appropriate advanced degree (doctorate preferred); the ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively; exceptional analytic strength; strong financial management and budgeting skills; working knowledge of current best practices in enrollment management; experience in a culturally rich environment; and a strong commitment to providing excellent service to multiple and diverse constituents.
