Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), one of the largest universities in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education, is seeking candidates for the position of Dean of the College of Fine Arts. The dean will be an inspiring and successful professional who will provide visionary leadership and overall academic, administrative and financial management of the College. Located in Indiana, Pennsylvania, about an hour northeast of Pittsburgh, IUP is a vibrant, comprehensive, research-based, teaching-focused, student-centered learning community founded in 1875. As one of only four public, doctoral research universities in Pennsylvania, IUP combines the academic opportunities of a large university with the highly personalized and intimate learning-centered environment of a small college.

With one of the largest arts programs in Pennsylvania, the IUP College of Fine Arts offers degrees in the visual arts, music, theater and dance, and interdisciplinary fine arts. Programs leading to certification to teach art and music are offered in cooperation with the College of Education and Communications, and minors are available in art, music, theater, and dance. The College takes as its special mission the presentation of arts events, including plays, concerts, exhibitions, and recitals, featuring the work of students and faculty as well as the work of visiting arts professionals, as a gift of enrichment and as a celebration of the human spirit for the University, the community, and the region.
