Manager, Financial Aid Technical Operations

Summary of Position     

The position provides technical support to the Financial Aid office. This position:

 

  • Manages technical operations for the Financial Aid system

 

  • Updates, tests, and runs processes for the
  • Financial Aid system

 

  • Recommends and implements process solutions to work in an efficient manner and improve customer service and productivity

 

  • Manages system projects, reports progress, and identifies and recommends solutions to potential problems

 

  • Serves as office contact for Department of Education systems and represents the office for any campus Security/IT committees

 

  • Trains and manages technical staff

 

Minimum Requirements             

Graduation from a two year technical college with a major in an Information Technology field and one year in the information technology field related to the position’s role; or graduation from a four year college or university and one year experience in the information technology field related to the position’s role; or graduation from a four year college or university with a major in an Information Technology area. Related information technology experience may be substituted year for year for the required education.

 

Additional knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential functions of the position:             

  • Four (4) years of financial aid experience

 

  • Two years of management (training, supervisory, and evaluation) experience

 

  • SQL, Excel, and Pivot Table experience

 

  • Preferred education, professional skills and experience: 
  • Demonstrated understanding of Title IV aid processes and regulations

 

  • Demonstrated record of effective project management skills

 

  • Demonstrated capacity to function in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

 

  • Demonstrated record of strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills

 

  • Commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse population

 

  • Experience in supporting Ellucian Banner Financial Aid module highly preferred
