PROVOST AND VICE PRESIDENT FOR ACADEMIC AFFAIRS

Kennesaw State University invites applications and nominations for the position of Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Reporting to the President, the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs is the chief academic officer of the University. The Provost is responsible for all aspects of the University's academic mission, including the intellectual environment for faculty, students and staff, and planning, budgeting, supervising, and reviewing programs in instruction, research, and continuing education.  The direct reports to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, including the Deans of KSU’s 13 colleges, the Senior Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, and the Associate Vice President for Curriculum, provide assistance and support to the Provost in carrying out these duties.

The selected candidate will possess an earned terminal degree and appropriate credentials to be tenured in one of the University’s academic departments.  The next Provost will have demonstrated successful academic administrative experience and a leadership style that is collaborative, transparent, and engages faculty, students and staff.  The search committee is seeking individuals with exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, commitment to the goals of diversity and inclusion, and an appreciation of the role and mission of a large, comprehensive, and ascending public university.
